CA Fair Plan-I don't understand the math.

CA Fair Plan-I don't understand the math. CA Fair plan premiums have gone through the roof. This year our coverage is $9,000. Up from $5K last year. I get insurers were killed in 2018. But Fair plan is growing from all of the cancellations since then so they did not have to pay out but are getting all of these policies paying top dollar. I don't get it. In California there were 71 structures destroyed by fires. Is that a record low? Structures 2023 71.00 2022 1,279.00 2021 3,846.00 2020 11,116.00 2019 732.00 2018 24,226.00 2017 10,868.00 2016 1,274.00
