I genuinely don't understand this argument - the actual amount of daylight obviously doesn't change, so just be awake for the daylight you want to enjoy in winter, regardless of what time the government tells you it is. Could you explain what you mean by "gives us less daylight"? where do you think the daylight is "going" based on the gov't telling you it's 4pm instead of 5pm, etc?
