Most were able to renew. And at lower prices because of the new house discount at least with State Farm. Ours went down $1k despite double the coverage. Though the house deductible went up from .5% for hail to 1%. That's a bigger threat actually here than wildfire.
Our wildfire though was considered rare in our town. Even First Street calls us a major fire risk only because of fire history. Pre fire we were low risk. I think yours will be different. You also have earthquake risk, we don't. So hard to say how insurance will work for your fire. And also how the area around you is fire mitigated. Not just your house or your neighborhood.
For us how we fire mitigated didn't factor. Though a small amount of houses that burned were in a high fire risk area so most likely had to mitigate to get insured again.
